About Me:

Raised in the bustling metropolis of Shrewsbury, and having graduated from Newcastle University in 2006, I scurried down to London to join the rat race I was hearing an awful lot about. I jumped into the world of recruitment for a couple of years, and then headed over to Dubai to continue this and explore the Middle East (I had no idea you could actually snowboard in Iran!). Now back in the UK, I am doing whatever I possibly can to save money for the trip - painting, decorating, gardening, dog-walking, farming...you name it, I'll do it!

Why are you doing this?

There are countless motivations and reasons for this ride which I won't bore you with. In a nutshell, its time for an epic adventure. It is also a great way to raise money for Brain Tumour Research; a charity I feel very passionate about having been personally affected by the disease.

About me

What the hell to put here?? Born in Inverness and brought up for the most part in Doncaster. Moved to Sheffield for uni then took off to London to make my fortune. Did a few years as a recruitment consultant. I now happily work for MIND working with people affected by mental health issues to retain employment.

Why are you doing this?

Hopefully have the adventure of a lifetime, see the world from a different perspective and raise some cash for a good cause. Inspired by Alastair Humphreys, author of "Moods of Future Joys" and the quote "ships are safe in the harbour but that's not what ships are built for" - William Shedd
